This page outlines the history of our organization. Our Lady of Queenship Council #4068, known as "The West Shore Knights", is a special organization of men dedicated to the church and community. Our membership is comprised of parishoners from the parishes of Good Shepherd, Camp Hill, Our Lady of Lourdes, Enola, St. Joseph's, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and St. Katherine Drexel, Mechanicsburg, St. Theresa's, New Cumberland, as well as many other parishes in the Harrisburg area. The Council Charter was accepted by supreme on June 28, 1955, but was not presented to the Council until April 23, 1956. 1956 also marked the founding of Our Lady of Queenship's Home Association. A home Association is a gathering Place for members and their families to join each other and enjoy friendship, and fellowship, in a safe wholseome environment. Originally it was exclusively for Council Members and their families. In the 1960's the Home Association came to an agreement (after much contention, debate, and many objections) with the Council to allow the Home to solicit what were called Social Memberships. These were people who did not qualify to be Knights because of religious beliefs,or gender. The expansion was costly, allegedly causing the fracturing of the Council, and creation of sister Council, St Theresa's 8921 lead by the late George Morrison, PGK. Over the years more Councils have spun off from 4068 for various reasons, but through it all Our Lady of Queenship has hardly lost more than ten percent of its 1300 members. 50 Years later the commitment of the "West Shore Knights" of Our Lady of Queenship Council is still firm. Supporting Trinity in every effort, holding a roundtable with with the Clergy and Parrishoners of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parrish, working with the Silence of Mary Home in Harrisburg, a catholic lay apostalate. and area athletic clubs like the West Shore Soccer Club, and CVYBA for youth events promoting sportsmanship. We support every religious and Community Activity we can because we love this community and want to see it grow with a strong moral fiber, economic strength, and civic pride.

Council begins fundraiser for SEAS Parish.
The council is selling Harrisburg Senators reserved seat vouchers for home games. Each $10.00 voucher earns $4.00 for the Parish's support. Call Glenn FitzSimons at 975-0921 for information and to volunteer to help selling the vouchers withing the Council and the Parish.
